    Hi and thanks for stopping by. I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Waterloo, Ontario. I have created this blog so you can follow my latest work and to share a bit about myself personally so you can get to know me better. Athough I LOVE photography it is not nearly the only thing I am passionate about!

    my kids, family and friends more than anything in the world

    music - anything by Van Morrison - Quindon Tarver did the best version of "When Dove's Cry" - Queen, John Mayer, Imogen Heap, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd - Peter Gabriel's "In your eyes" - Kings of Leon were even more amazing live - Coldplay, The Cure - Blue October rocks my world too.....I could go on. Liz + Frank | engaged | St Marys, on

Liz and Frank met me in St Mary’s this past fall for their engagement session. We had an amazing time walking around town stopping along the way to chat and of course take some pretty photos. I absolutely love getting to know my couples through engagement sessions. I am so excited to see you both again in May….can you believe it’s only a few months away??!

One of my very favourite photographs. I love that you can see that Frank is smiling without hardly seeing his face!

We had a blast scaring the dickens out of the birds on the water front!

What wonderful photos. They’re beautifully framed and exude whimsical charm. These pics may well be the best engagement photos I’ve seen and now I can’t wait to see the wedding photos. Hope you take more b/w photos, too. Super!

Sugar and Spice

I have been a very very bad blogger as of late and I am ashamed to see how long it has been since I have been on here! I have many shoots from the summer and fall that I am excited to share and now that holidays are behind me I am committed to posting them :) These little lovelies are some of my favourite people. All I can say is thank heavens for little girls!

Wow. Crazy to think that I am about to blog my last wedding of 2011. It feels a bit surreal to think that another year is almost over and Christmas is weeks away! I had really good intentions this year and started my online Christmas shopping in SEPTEMBER. I was feeling really on the ball when my packages started arriving in mid October…then I dropped the ball. I am sure I figured I was ahead of the game and could put it off for awhile so here we are weeks before Christmas and I am officially behind and wondering how I let that happen. I am not a fan of shopping and so although I should be out finding all those prezzies my kids put on their wish lists I am cozied up in my office blogging about one of my favourite weddings of the year.

It’s hard to say why I loved Paul and Amandas wedding so much. It could be so many things….like how Paul and Amanda are so gentle with one another. Or how the ceremony was held at 10 in the morning on a chilly October Sunday. Or that the ceremony location is now one of my favourite places to photograph. It could have been their rockin wedding party who braved the nasty rain and cold to get a few shots outside. Whatever it was I was so happy to be a part of it.

So it’s Monday…which seems to have become my blog post day. I am not as far behind as I thought I was which is encouraging. It does remind me though that it means winter is here. I want to insert a sad face here but then how can I when winter brings photos like the frosty ones below!? I know the novelty will wear off quickly but for now I am inviting the snow…for a little change of scenery :)

Katlyn and Jamie are just plain fantastic. Not only were they up for anything but they also trusted me entirely and just went with the flow. That is my kind of session. I like to just drive and stop when I see something I like….and it is always a bonus when I don’t end up in a ditch!

 

How cute are they?!
